SUMI 墨

VIEW BY

Sumi 墨 is the ink of Japanese brush painting. The KIROKU Sumi Edition takes four real moments from four of our cities and paints them the old way: one brush, black ink, one colour, and the white of the shirt left showing through the dry strokes.

A snow crystal grown on a rabbit hair in Sapporo. The 108-tonne stone in the walls of Osaka Castle. The wooden lattices of a Kyoto street. Japan's first gas lamps in Yokohama. Each tee carries a line of real Japanese down the side, two vermilion seals and its KIROKU record number, printed on heavyweight cotton in White or Vintage White and made to order for you.
