The Tokyo collection is the 5C5V range built on 夢 (yume), the kanji for dream. It is the biggest of my five city collections, because the Neon Dawn pieces sit here too.
Tokyo was called Edo until 1868, when the imperial capital moved from Kyoto and the city was renamed Tokyo, which means eastern capital. By the mid-18th century Edo had grown from a small fishing village into one of the largest cities in the world, with more than a million people. Over 14 million live in the city proper now. In 1964 it became the first city in Asia to host the Summer Olympics.
I paired Tokyo with dream because, in the 5C5V telling, the city stands for ambition and looking ahead. The dream I mean is the kind you work towards.
In the collection now: hoodies in black, French navy, burgundy and bottle green; embroidered T-shirts in black and white; cuffed beanies in blue, navy and grey; fisherman beanies in five colours; caps, two-tone baseball caps and a snapback; canvas high tops; and the Tokyo Alpine Club tee. Neon Dawn adds black T-shirts, a hoodie and framed art prints, all set in Tokyo between the last train and the first. Everything is made to order.
Questions people ask
What does 夢 mean?
夢 is read yume and means dream. It is the virtue 5C5V pairs with Tokyo.
What is Neon Dawn?
Neon Dawn is the 5C5V line set in Tokyo in the hours between the last train and the first. In the Tokyo collection it covers black T-shirts, a hoodie and framed art prints.
Do you ship the Tokyo collection to the US?
Yes. US shipping is $5.95 per order and free over $75. Each piece is made to order in 2 to 5 working days, then shipped with tracking. Framed art prints have their own delivery charge.
