Neon Dawn — Shūden 終電 Embroidered Black T-Shirt

Cut from 100% combed ring-spun cotton at a heavyweight 6.5 oz./yd² (220 g/m²), this tee has a structured, regular fit that keeps its shape. Side-seamed, with a 1×1 ribbed collar, it's soft from the first wear and built to last.

Neon Dawn is our Tokyo after dark: the hours between the last train and the first. Shūden 終電 is the last train. At 00:42 it rolls away along the viaduct, two red tail lights in the dark, and a guy in headphones is left standing outside the station. The shutters are down, the bikes are still chained up and the ticket gates are glowing for nobody. He's missed it. The night just got a lot longer.

Across the back, the artwork runs the full width of the print, with NEON DAWN above it. On the left chest, our Neon Dawn sun is embroidered in orange, black and white thread: a striped half-sun on the horizon, ネオンの夜明け (neon dawn) beneath it, and 00:42 stitched in orange, the minute this piece happens. Made to order on Black, sizes S to 4XL.

Good to know

What is on the back? A small Tokyo station just after midnight: the last train pulling away on the tracks above, shutters down, bikes parked outside and the ticket gates still lit, with a lone figure in headphones watching it go. Under the artwork, 終電を逃した (missed the last train), 00:42 in orange.

What is embroidered on the chest? A striped orange half-sun on a white horizon line, the words ネオンの夜明け (neon no yoake, neon dawn) and the time 00:42. Every Neon Dawn tee carries its own time.

What does 終電 mean? 終電 (shūden) is the last train of the night. 終 means end and 電 is short for 電車, train. In Tokyo most lines stop running a little after midnight, and missing it means a taxi, a long walk or a night out until the first train.

Is there a matching print? Yes. The same artwork is available as Shūden 終電, a numbered limited edition framed art print of 50.

How does it fit? A regular, structured fit, true to size. Size up if you like a looser, boxier look.

Is it limited? The tee isn't. It's part of our Neon Dawn line and is made to order for as long as the line is open.

Regular fit, side-seamed construction, 1×1 rib collar. 100% combed ring-spun cotton, 6.5 oz./yd² (220 g/m²). Embroidered left chest, printed back. Black, sizes S to 4XL, unisex. Machine wash cold inside out on a gentle cycle and do not bleach. Hang or lay flat to dry, and never iron directly over the embroidery or the print.
