A Shōwa-style 琺瑯看板 (hōrō kanban, enamel shop sign) for an invented Osaka tonic maker, 五都薬房. Cream border, deep blue panel, screw holes in the corners, a papier-mâché tiger in a red sun, a giant 力 (chikara, strength) and the line 力をつける, build your strength. Printed big on the back of a black heavyweight box tee, with a mini enamel 力 badge on the left chest.
Dōshōmachi in central Osaka has been the city's medicine quarter since the 1600s. Every 22–23 November the Shinnō Festival at Sukunahikona Shrine hands out papier-mâché tiger charms for good health, and the medicine shops nearby once advertised on enamel signs exactly like this one.

What is a 琺瑯看板? A vitreous enamel sign, glass fused onto steel, made from the Meiji era through Shōwa for shopfronts and station walls. Most were scrapped, so the survivors are collected now.
Is 五都薬房 a real company? No. 五都薬房 (Five Cities Pharmacy) is made up for this design. The tiger, the street and the festival are real.
How does it fit? Boxy and oversized. If you want a closer fit, go a size down. The model is 182 cm (6′0″) and wears L for the oversized look.

Wherever you ordered from, you have 30 days from delivery to return or exchange unworn, unwashed items in their original condition, and any defect or print or embroidery problem is always on us. Pieces you design yourself in Studio or KŌBŌ are made just for you, so they can only come back if faulty.
