Our long sleeve is 100% carded cotton at 8.2 oz./yd.² (278 g/m²), a proper heavyweight. It's a relaxed fit with side seams, wide ribbing at the neck and cuffs, double-needle hems, and it's preshrunk.
砂嵐 (sunaarashi) literally means "sandstorm". In Japan it's also the word for TV static, the grey fizz you got once a channel had finished for the night. Just before it, channels put up a closedown card reading 本日の放送は終了しました (honjitsu no hōsō wa shūryō shimashita): "today's broadcast has ended".
We've put that moment on the back of a long sleeve. A wood-cabinet CRT set shows colour bars dissolving into static, with the closedown caption across the screen, a green clock at 02:30 and THE CHANNEL SLEPT. WE DIDN'T. underneath. A small 砂嵐 with a red dot sits on the chest. Black, Midnight Blue or Cypress. Made to order, sizes S to 3XL.
Good to know
What's printed on the back? An old wood-cabinet TV with its colour bars turning to static, the closedown caption on screen, a green 02:30 clock and THE CHANNEL SLEPT. WE DIDN'T.
What does 砂嵐 mean? It's sunaarashi, sandstorm, which is how Japanese people describe TV static. The words on the screen mean "today's broadcast has ended", the line channels showed before going off air.
How does it fit? Relaxed, not oversized. Take your usual size.

Relaxed fit, side-seamed, with wide neck and cuff ribbing and double-needle hems. 100% carded cotton, 8.2 oz./yd.² (278 g/m²), preshrunk. Available in Black, Midnight Blue and Cypress, sizes S to 3XL. Wash cold and inside out, no bleach, hang or lay flat to dry, and never iron over the print.

If it isn't right for you, you have 30 days from delivery to return or exchange it, provided it's unworn, unwashed and in its original condition. Pieces you design yourself in Studio or KŌBŌ are made just for you, so they can only come back if faulty.
