The patterned 型板ガラス (kataita garasu, figured glass) of Showa-era doors and bathroom windows: a diamond lattice of starbursts and flowers in frosted aqua and grey, printed as a panel on the back of a heavyweight long sleeve. A small glass mark sits on the left chest.
Every old Japanese house had a pane of it somewhere. The light came through in little stars.

What is 型板ガラス? 型板ガラス (kataita garasu) is pressed patterned glass, made in Japan from the 1960s for doors and windows you could see light through but not people.

Each piece is made to order, created for you once your order is placed. That keeps overproduction and waste down.
Production takes 2–5 business days. Delivery then takes:
- UK: 2–6 business days, £3.95, free on orders over £100
- USA: 4–8 business days, $5.95 flat per order, free on orders over $75. Made and shipped inside the US, so no import duties
- EU: 2–6 business days, £3.95, free express on orders over £100

Covered by a 2-year warranty. Wherever you ordered from, you have 30 days from delivery to return or exchange unworn, unwashed items in their original condition, and any defect or print or embroidery problem is always on us. Need a different size? That's no problem at all. Email matthew@5c5v.co.uk with your order number and we'll send you the return address. We just ask that you cover the return postage. Pieces you design yourself in Studio or KŌBŌ are made just for you, so they can only come back if faulty.
