neon-dawn-shinya-konbini-limited-edition-framed-art-print
Neon Dawn — Shin'ya Konbini 深夜コンビニ Limited Edition Framed Art Print

Neon Dawn is our Tokyo after dark: the hours between the last train and the first, when the arcades and ramen bars are still lit and the city slowly turns blue. Every piece is stamped with the minute it happens.

Shin'ya konbini 深夜コンビニ is the late-night convenience store, the only place on the street with its lights on at 02:17. Outside, a girl in an oversized hoodie sits on the step with a cup noodle, her bike leaning next to her and a cat asleep at her feet, while the vending machines hum and the guy behind the counter stares at nothing. Lonely and comforting at the same time, which is pretty much what a konbini at 2am is.

This one is a limited edition of 50. Every print is numbered on the mat under the artwork, from No. 01 / 50 to No. 50 / 50, in the order they sell. Once all 50 have gone, it won't be printed again.

Printed on heavyweight matte art paper and framed behind a wide white mat in black or white wood, it's made to order in 30 × 40 cm, 50 × 70 cm or 61 × 91 cm. It looks great in a kitchen or a hallway, anywhere you pass on the way to a midnight snack.

Good to know

What is on the print? A small corner convenience store glowing on a dark, wet back street: a row of lit vending machines, a girl in a hoodie eating a cup noodle on the step, a bicycle, a sleeping cat and power lines against a deep blue sky. Below the picture, 深夜コンビニ (late-night konbini), 02:17 in orange, NEON DAWN · LIMITED EDITION and the print's own number.

What does 深夜コンビニ mean? 深夜 (shin'ya) means late at night and コンビニ (konbini) is the Japanese word for a convenience store. Most of them never close, which is why they matter so much at 2am.

Which number will I get? The next number in the edition when your order comes in. Numbers go out in order, so the earlier you order, the lower your number.

What sizes and frames are there? 30 × 40 cm, 50 × 70 cm or 61 × 91 cm, in a black or white wooden frame with a wide white mat. All sizes count towards the same edition of 50.

Does it arrive ready to hang? Yes. It comes framed, matted and glazed with a clear acrylic front, with hanging hardware included.

When will it arrive? Production takes 2–5 business days, then UK delivery usually takes 3–7 business days.
